Spent a fantastic vacation at Niamat Kothi last week, 2 nights to be precise. This homestay, perched on a small hillock amidst a quiet village, offers mesmerizing panoramic view of the Himalayas - Nanda Devi, Panchachuli etc. The USP of this place. A very cozy accommodation like our own home, very quiet with no sounds anywhere except an occasional one from the village below. Lakhan the caretaker is the Man Friday, ensuring that your stay is comfortable all the time and serving home cooked food. Nicely done up with ample sunlight streaming into the room and the Himalayas for company, this is the ideal place for a quiet and rejuvenating holiday. The view of the Himalayas is breathtaking, specially at this time of the year, November. Sit in the balcony, sip your morning tea with a book or laptop and chat with Nanda Devi!! A must visit place for all Mountain lovers. Just a piece of advice - better to have transport arrangements made beforehand since this place is a few kms away from the main town of Mukteshwar. The last stretch to reach this place should be covered by foot, just a few metres.
